Teach me how to love You.
I wanna love God with my whole heart. Whole admiration, whole affection, and my whole desire.
There's a quote that says, "The proof of love is in the want to give."
What have I done out of love for YOU?
What have I given without self-gain?
I can at least say at this point,
"I'll give my life to You."
"I'll give my body to You."
"I'll give my mouth to You."
"I'll give my dreams and hopes to You."
I want to love you above all else.
God doesn't want to share the pedal-stool in our heart.
He wants our whole heart.
He deserves to be desired above all else.
My prayer is...
"Lord help me to love You better, I want to desire You with my whole heart. I don't want to love any of Your creations more than I love You."

I want the same thing. I said a prayer similar to that prayer a while back and I started to grow more and more in Love with God. I want Him to be my everything, I want to desire Him always. I know that he is the only one that can complete me and fill me.
ReplyDeleteThis was a great post. Many persons have placed God on the backseat in their lives and placed other things and other person in front. You're right God doesn't want to share a pedestal. We are to fix our gaze on Him. I am still growing in this area but I know with the Lords help I will be where he wants me to be.
